Experience Works, an organization offering training and employment services for the elderly, has named a 104-year-old as America's oldest worker. Waldo McBurney of Quinter, Kansas, has been honored by the group while other elderly peers of his, have already spent decades in retirement.

McBurney has no plans for retirement soon. He graduated from the then Kansas State Agricultural College, which is currently known as Kansas State University in 1927. He worked in agriculture for twenty-five years, before he started working as a beekeeper.

The veteran started an athletic career at 65. He did long-distance competitive running at 75. Then when he turned 80, he created a record in Kansas State for the 10-mile race for runners in his age group.

That's not all. McBurney proceeded with his athletics career, and set records in running, long jump, discus and shot-put in his 90s and 100s at the Senior Olympics. The veteran, who has no plans for retirement, is currently working as a bee keeper.
