For the past ten years, Faye Campbell ate nothing but chips.
But this was not due to her liking, as Faye, 15 is suffering from a rare condition which made her ill every time she tried eating other food, driving her parents, Carolyn, 37, and Mark, 39, mad from her unusual diet.
"Faye just drank milk until she was four or five," Carolyn, who hails from Stowmarket, Suffolk, said.
"We tried giving her everything but she rejected it," she added. "For some reason at that age she tried a chip and didn't eat anything else."
Carolyn said they have already seen doctor after doctor regarding Faye's condition but without success.
However, a breakthrough came two years ago after Faye was finally diagnosed to be suffering gastro-oesophageal reflux.
With a clear-cut diagnosis, Faye was given a two-year treatment, which included working with a child psychologist and medication. Faye is not starting to eat regular food and will continue with her therapy.
