A human lung has been stolen from a travelling Peruvian body exhibition.
The left organ - which had been preserved through a special scientific process which replaces water with stronger polymers - was travelling the world as part of 'Bodies: The Exhibition' when it was stolen.
Susan Hoefken - from Impacto, the company behind the exhibition - said: "In the whole world this has never happened."
A reward of $2,000 has been offered for the safe return of the rare organ.
It is believed the breathing organ has no commercial value but would be expensive for the company to replace.
