Naked in Nuremberg, that's all one 41-year-old American tourist wanted. So the unidentified American tourist peeled off his clothes, then went sprinting through the center of the historic German town.
Residents were less than impressed and brought the man to the attention of a traffic cop who promptly arrested him and ordered him to put on his clothes.
He was also ordered to keep his clothes on for the remainder of his stay in Germany as long as he was in public.
For his part, the tourist said he merely wanted to know what it felt like to streak in Germany and he tried to argue ignorance of the law. Police officials said he told them he didn't know it was illegal to run naked through the streets in Germany.
Police weren't buying that excuse though and said they fined the man $270. Although authorities were kind enough not to release the tourist's name they did say that he didn't have the excuse of being drunk or on drugs.
He was perfectly lucid when he removed his clothes in public and began streaking about town.
Police also didn't say whether the naked tourist told them what the experience felt like or if he enjoyed himself before he was arrested.
