Frosty, a inflatable snowman used for years to greet customers at a Tyler, Texas tree farm was stolen. The animated decoration was reportedly worth $10,000.
Royce Wisenbaker, owner of the Dixon Farms, presumed that the thieves hoisted the snowman over the fence, right after dismantling it and folding it up.
"They took it apart, folded it up, drug it out through [the piping], and went straight over here, over that fence," Wisenbaker surmised.
He recalled discovering that the snowman was missing Saturday morning. He presumed that the snowman was stolen Friday night.
"We have lots of loyal customers and, unfortunately, they're coming with their children and they want to see Frosty," ABC' KLTV quoted Wisenbaker.
A $1,000 reward is waiting for whoever would safely return the snowman, reported the Associated Press.
Other outdoor holiday displays in the area had also disappeared, as a house was stripped of four displays.
"It's just part of the holiday spirit and it's a shame that somebody would pt a dent in that," said Jim Reed, the house owner.
