A 67-year-old Spanish woman has reportedly given birth to twins by Cesarean section. The twins were delivered at the Barcelona Hospital de Sant Pau and were doing well.

According to AFP news, hospital spokeswomen neither revealed the identity of the woman and her offspring, nor the sex of the twins on grounds of patient confidentiality.

The twins are reportedly her first children and were kept in an incubator following their birth.

The elderly woman adopted the method of in-vitro fertilization treatment in South America to conceive.
