A large dose of nostalgia awaits club goers at the World's Largest Disco, where the spirit of the 70's is brought back in full swing.
The place was filled with around 7,000 people all towering in their platform shoes and wide collars as they try to bring back the spirit of the disco era at the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center.
As the place was teeming with afros, sequins, medallions and boas, it was also crammed with security, with armed guards patrolling on elevated platforms.
Dave Pietrowski, the event's organizer, explained "One of the reasons we don't have any problems is we have an overabundance of security," as quoted by Buffalo News.
The disco managed to throw people back a couple of decades past.
"This is where my wife first kissed me, seven years ago today," recalled Patrick Frawley, while donning a pink tuxedo and a fuchsia shirt.
The comment elicited a response from his wife Margaux, who said "It was our first date, and we've been married three years...only he kissed me."
The place was also boasted of a makeshift bar, featuring the big stars of the 70's era such as John Travolta, Donna Summer, David Cassidy and Suzanne Somers.
Stars of that era were also present on the dance floor, and in person, such as Erik Estrada and Karen Lynn Gorney.
Political Gateway quoted local Carol Luzzi, who explained her intentions for the night in one blatant statement:
"We're here to boogie."
