Shiv Charan, a 72-year-old man, who has been taking the secondary examination (10th standard) for the last 37 years, failed again this year.
The man living in the Kohari village of India's desert state of Rajasthan, pledged not to marry until he passes secondary examination, IANS reported.
Shiv Charan, who took his first secondary exam in 1969, has said:"For me, success is not merely clearing the exam - it will also throw open the doors of marriage for me."
He still hopeful of tying the nuptial knot after clearing his secondary examinations.
