An 80-year-old woman's courage and mimicking a scene from the popular movie "Crocodile Dundee" saved her life when she single-handedly tackled a knife-wielding burglar.
Reportedly Winifred Whelan from Liverpool, was threatened in her home by a man who was waving a 10-inch knife.
But instead of getting scared, the woman reportedly grabbed a bigger carving knife from her kitchen and shouted, "That's not a knife, this is a knife!"
She was quoting a famous line from "Crocodile Dundee's" star Paul Hogan who uttered those same words in the movie when he was mugged by man with a knife.
She says, "I said to the robber: 'You call that a knife?' His was around 10 inches long and I had a carving knife measuring about 14 inches. I pointed it at his belly and said: 'This is a knife!'" Apparently frightened by the woman's courage and the longer knife, the man panicked and ran.
Follow-up investigations by the police led to the arrest of the burglar and his accomplice. They are now facing charges before the Liverpool Crown Court.
