An 80-year-old man put up a good fight against a mugger who attacked him in the bathroom of a Memphis hospital.

The mugger did not know that George Younger was an Army Infantryman and an armature boxer in his prime, still packed with some old moves.

Younger was washing his hands in the bathroom when the suspect came behind him and hit him. He tried to drag the man into the stall but Younger fought back.

He said, "He kept telling me if I go to the stall, he wouldn't hurt me. No way I was going into that stall."

Younger said the man was much bigger and stronger than he but he still got in a few punches.

He told the local media, "I think I got him good - I don't like being called a victim."

However, the mugger overpowered Younger and started choking him. That is when he started calling for help. He was later treated for face wounds and left the hospital with 13 stitches.

"He hit me twice; he was a pretty big guy," Younger said. "He pulled me to the ground and hit me again and staggered me. I guess I wasn't in as good a shape as I thought I was."

Police are still looking for the suspect in the case.
