An 81-year-old woman in the Welsh town of Abergavenny has probably become the oldest woman ever to be sentenced to eight months in prison for threatening to kill her neighbor's dog and also using witch craft on them.

While handling the sentence to Dorothy Evans for abusive behavior toward neighbors, Judge Roderick Denyer said Tuesday that he would have given her a longer sentence but did not do so because of her advanced age.

Court convicted Evans on six charges of violating an antisocial behavior order and a single harassment charge related to repeated abuse of neighbors.

Evans, who also hit one of her neighbors with a stick while calling her a prostitute, is also charged with threatening to kill a neighbor's dog and placing a spell on a neighboring family through the use of witchcraft.

According to IC Wales newspaper, Evans is a widow who told her neighbor's 13-year-old daughter that she was "a witch and would cast a spell on her family and kill her pet dog". She is also accused of "mooning" at the neighbor's family and often growled like a dog.
