A 95-year-old woman from Fort Hays, Kansas is all set to become the world's oldest college graduate next month thus breaking the earlier record of a 90-year-old woman Mozelle Richardson.

Nola Ochs did not have any intention of entering into the Guinness Book of World Records as she started taking classes at a community college after her husband of 39 years, Vernon, died in 1972.

After many accumulative classes over the years, she was close to having enough hours for an undergraduate degree and decided to move 100 miles from her farm to an apartment at Fort Hays State University to complete the final 30 hours to get a general studies degree with an emphasis on history.

According to AP reports, she sets another record of sorts when her 21-year-old granddaughter, Alexandra Ochs, will graduate with her on May 21st.

Initially her administrators were skeptical about her performance but the doubts surrounding her performance were cleared after her second week and now the professors look forward to record oral histories with her after she graduates.
