A 23-year-old man from West Monroe man was arrested Tuesday at a Wal-Mart Store after he literally "dropped" the price of a plasma television from $984 to $4.88.

Chandon L. Simms has now been charged of felony theft after he was found carrying a 42-inch Sanyo Plasma TV to a self-checkout aisle after switching the original price tag of $984 with one for only $4.88.

AP reports that the Wal-Mart Loss Prevention officers immediately called the police when they saw Simms switching the tags. Upon investigation at the door, he told officers that he purchased a TV from the West Monroe store and planned to return that earlier one and keep the one he purchased for a new lowest price from the Monroe store.

Simms is now booked into the Ouachita Correctional Center.
