Police are looking for an accused murderer who escaped from The Waller County Jail in Texas during the early morning hours on Saturday.

Darryl Layne Norris, 26, was jailed in April with an accomplice, both charged with a death in connection with a convenience store robbery.

Police reportedly said that the 6-foot-tall man had been losing weight since his arrival at the jail, and they believe he escaped through a foot wide air-conditioner vent. He made his escape between 2 a.m. and 3 a.m. Saturday.

He is described as having a medium build, reddish-blond hair and hazel eyes with multiple tattoos on his arms, chest and legs.
