A man accused of murder got so annoyed with his lawyer's performance that he tried to strangle him in front of the judge, Boston radio reports Wednesday.

According to Reuters, Attorney Bruce Carroll who had earlier tried to withdraw from case but was denied by judge told WBZ Radio, that his client John Gomes "didn't like the rulings the judge was making...."

Several officers intervened to separate (1.8-meter), 250-pound (113-kg) Gomes from Carroll.
