Inmates at an Indian prison are refusing to leave because the food is so good. Filled at more than twice its capacity, the Parappana Agrahara prison in Bangalore is serving food prepared by ISKCON, or the International Society for Krishna Consciousness, a Hindu evangelist organization. Small-time crooks are refusing to apply for bail, swelling the ranks of the prison to 4,700. Also, juvenile offenders are lying to the police about their age to get into the adult prison, according to the AFP.

An 8-month-old orphaned orangutan from an Indiana children's zoo has found his new home in Zoo Atlanta. Dumadi, who is expected to arrive Wednesday, will be adopted by a 25-year-old female Madu. Madu is an experienced mother who has been a surrogate mother to another orphan in the Atlanta zoo's 10-member orangutan family. According to AP reports, Dumadi was orphaned last year at the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo when his mother died an hour after giving birth to him, likely from a blood clot.

Police has arrested two teenagers who were found to be loitering around the swimming pool of the same hotel that they had robbed about 15 hours ago. Brandon J. Brooks, 18, and Dillion Clark, 16, held a man and a woman at a gunpoint around 2 a. m. Saturday on the beach by Shorewood Villas on Hilton Head Island. The teenage robbers took the victims' cell phones, purses, wallets and cash.

A man who took photos of children and female staff members in a school bathroom has been jailed for four months. Adrian Alan Mayne worked as a maintenance worker at a Tasmanian school and drilled holes in the walls of the bathroom. He then used a camera owned by the school to take pictures of girls' breasts and other private parts.

A middle school music teacher has been reassigned to an adult education program by Johnson City school administrators after it was found that he asked nearly two female students to pose for a photograph in a mermaid costume. Les Leonard, who was a music teacher since last 17 years with the school, agreed to get transfer from Johnson City's Indian Trail Middle School to a vacant position in adult education. His new job includes testing coordination and also teaching some adult education.
