Steve Fossett will partner with Sir Richard Branson in another flight around the world - in an attempt to break an existing record.
The two aviation adventurers will use Fossett's Virgin Atlantic GlobalFlyer in an attempt to break the record for longest flight - currently held at 25,000 miles.
The plan is to fly from Kansas, circumnavigate the globe and land near London - a total travel length of 29,000 miles.
An alternative site of departure being considered is one of NASA's runways at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
According to Fossett, a final decision will be made later this year.
