One in 25 Fathers Unknowingly Raising Another Man's Child

British scientists say Thursday that as many as one in 25 fathers worldwide could be raising another man's child, believing he or she is his own. Some of the mix-ups can be attributed to artificial insemination, but the majority are due to a woman having sexual relationships outside the marriage, says Professor Mark Bellis, one of the researchers.

South Africa To Celebrate Mandela's Birthday

South Africa has begun celebrations in honor of Nelson Mandela's 87th birthday. A torch, first lit in Mandela's former prison cell on Robben Island, will be carried across South Africa in an effort to raise awareness about HIV-Aids.

Rain Queen Dies at 27

Modjadji VI, the South African queen believed to make rain, has died in hospital, just two years after being crowned. Makobo Modjadji was a descendant from a line of rain queens dating back at least 200 years, and the youngest ever to head southern Africa's only female dynasty ruling the Balobedu people in the country's northern Limpopo province.
