A 23-year-old Hooters waitress was asked to leave the flight by a Southwest Airlines employee for wearing a miniskirt that he found "too inappropriate" to fly.
Kyla Ebbert was on a plane to Tucson from San Diego, two months ago, when a Southwest airlines customer representative approached her telling she would have to change her outfit if she wants to fly.
Ebbert was wearing a mini-skirt and a tank-top covered up by a summer sweater. The snug-fitting white top with a scoop neck stopped just short of showing cleavage, MSNBC reports.
When Ebbert explained to the representative that she had no spare clothes to change and urgently needed to fly for a doctors appointment in Arizona, the airline didn't listen and told her to buy a dress from a gift shop.
The representative however later asked Ebbert to adjust her clothing to be less revealing by covering herself with a blanket and she traveled as scheduled.
Writing a complaint to the Southwest, Michele Ebbert, the girl's mother, wrote to Southwest about her daughter's ill-treatment and humiliation but she go a reply saying the airline reserves the right to kick anyone off if they are wearing an outfit deemed "lewd or offensive."
However, Ebbert, who is now gaining nation attention by appearing on various television shows, says she wants an apology from the airline.
