A Mexican man is behind bars in federal custody after witnesses said he lunged toward the cockpit during a flight from Los Angeles to Honolulu Saturday night. Passengers arriving on Saturday night's Northwest Airlines flight told authorities they were scared when Santiago Lol Tizol, 37, raged through the aisles, ignoring the flight crew and threatening to kill a baby.

A stowaway cat will be sent home in style after ending up in France a month ago. Continental Airlines says Wednesday that the cat, named Emily, will fly business class to Newark, New Jersey.

Pilots diverted a United Airlines flight traveling from Orlando, Florida to Washington, D. C. , after a passenger lit a cigarette and urinated in the aisle. He's been identified as Mark McGovern. A United Airlines spokeswoman says flight attendants noticed McGovern appeared drunk not long after the plane left Orlando.

An Australian man illegally collected 17. 6 million frequent flyer points and is now in jail for fraud. Austin Perrott, 45, pleaded guilty to nine counts of obtaining financial advantage by deception and will be in jail for six months.

A Sri Lanka stewardess really wanted the day off on Friday so she decided to phone in a bomb threat from her boyfriend's cell phone to the airlines for which she "was" employed. "The inquiry reveals that the stewardess had given the false alarm because she did not want to fly that day," says Colombo's Sunday Times weekly.
