Woman Sues American Airlines Over Masturbation Incident

A 21-year old woman has filed a $200,000 law suit against American Airlines for failing to protect her after a male passenger reportedly masturbated beside her on a recent flight. The woman, whose identity was withheld, alleges airline employees did not act appropriately after the man sat next to her and began masturbating during a flight in March 2007.

FBI Takes Another Look At D.B. Cooper Mystery

Thirty-six years after he jumped out of a 727 clutching a bag full of cash, the mystery of D. B. Cooper is getting another look at by the FBI. The FBI has posted some new details in this cold case and are, once again, asking the public for help. On Nov. 24, 1971, a non-descript man calling himself Dan Cooper approached the counter of Northwest Orient Airlines in Portland, Oregon. He used cash to buy a one-way ticket on Flight #305, bound for Seattle, Washington.

Plane Returns To Miami Airport, Leaves Unruly Passenger

A plane bound for Jamaica on Tuesday returned to Miami International Airport half an hour after taking off because a passenger argued with a flight attendant. Upon landing, the pilot and crew of the American Airlines Flight 838 referred the passenger to the police, who did not arrest him because he has no criminal record and no physical altercation happened. The man did not reboard the plane when it took off again for Montego Bay.

Hawaiian Airlines To Refund Fee To Passenger Who Canceled After Mother Died

Hawaiian Airlines will refund a would-be passenger a full $225 it collected as a processing fee after she canceled a Hawaii trip for three. Jane Wilkens was supposed to travel with her 77-year-old mother and a family friend, but her mother passed away unexpectedly on September. When Wilkens asked for a refund for $4,287, Hawaiian Airlines tacked a $225 processing fee. Before Jane's mother could make the trip, she underwent surgery for a back problem, but she died three days later from a blood clot.

Venezuela Resets Official Time By 30 Minutes

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez officially reset the country's official time by 30 minutes, effective Sunday. With the move, Venezuela is now four-and-a-half hours earlier than the Greenwich Mean Time, from the previous four hours advance. The time change is not a daylight saving time measure, but a permanent change initiated by President Chavez, who is set to also change the nation's currency to the strong bolivar by January 1, 2008.
