Two spectators were killed when a model airplane crashed into crowd during an air show in Ocseny, about 150 kilometers south of Budapest. The model airplane that crashed had two-meter wing span and was being directed from the ground by an experienced German operator.

NASA is studying whether golf is safe in space. Mission controllers are considering whether to let a Russian cosmonaut drive a gold-plated golf ball off the international space station in August. The Russians have agreed to the publicity stunt for Canadian golf club maker Element 21 Golf.

Former Microsoft software developer Charles Simonyi is set to become a space tourist for a visit to the International Space Station (ISS), the orbital tourism firm Space Adventures reported. Simonyi, 58, will ride a Russian-built Soyuz spacecraft to the ISS where he will stay in fairly low star accommodation for a week.

Two passenger planes in Macedonia were forced to circle the airfield after stray dogs refused to leave the runway area. Security noticed the dogs playing around and ordered a flight from Vienna and one from Zurich to circle until the dogs could be cleared from the runway.
