Everett, WA - Mark Boyle, a fisherman and an artist, is working on two plane designs for Alaska Airlines.
The Alaskan Salmon paint job costs roughly $500,000, and will be covered by the Alaska Fisheries Marketing Board.
The idea is to expose every city the plane visits to the idea of eating Alaska fish.
William Hines of the Alaska Fisheries Marketing Board says, "It's my hope that they'll be curious about, what does this mean? Is this just a fish on a plane?"
An Alaska Airlines official says 90-percent of the country's airports could see the plane at some point.
