A Texas drugstore cowboy's efforts were thwarted Thursday after he robbed a pharmacy only to find he'd locked his keys in the get-away car.
According to reports, John Wilkinson, 24, robbed the Stanton Drug Store with a caulking gun covered in a towel. He stole Xanax and Hydrocodine before leaving the store to discover his blunder. Then, he fled on foot.
Police chased Wilkinson for a short time, according to reports, and shot him in the top of his shoulder. He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment before being taken to jail on charges of armed robbery.
Wilkinson is being held on $50,000 bond.
