"Port-A-Potty is not a good place to hide," says police Chief James Kudlak after a 21-year-old purse snatching suspect was caught hiding inside one. Johnny Snodgrass of New Martinsville was arrested Monday afternoon following a clue that took the officers to a construction site where Snodgrass was working.

Authorities reportedly became suspicious of Snodgrass after his appearance matched with that of a man who was caught on the surveillance camera of a store from where the purse of an old lady was stolen, the Associated Press reports.

The suspicion grew Monday when officers reached his work place to question him but he ran into the portable restroom. Moreover, he was wearing the same ''North Carolina'' hat he was shown wearing on the department store's video, Kudalk told The Intelligencer.

Snodgrass was released from jail on a $5,000 bond on Wednesday.
