A local bat remover has taken the habit of appearing in public donned in a Batman costume and driving his own Batmobile, a Chrysler Prowler fitted with bat emblems. Even his office, appropriately called the Bat Cave 1, has the "Batman" TV show theme playing for callers on hold. Bats are the top cause of human rabies in the U. S. have taken to staying in attics of the town's Antebellum and Greek Revival mansions.

Thieves have come up with a new way to steal money - they carry it away with a forklift. Around the country, police are reporting thieves are stealing forklifts from construction sites and taking ATMs with them. The thefts have happened this summer in Arizona, California and Georgia. Phoenix has had 21 attempts alone. ATM manufacturers are working on ways to stop the thefts.

Even the nurses couldn't believe it. A Mississippi couple named their newborn son ESPN after the sports network. ESPN Montana Real was born this week at Biloxi Regional Medical Center. ESPN's (pronounced Espen) mother, Leann Real promised her husband if they ever had a son, he would get to pick the name. Rusty Real is an avid sports fan.

In an effort to de-stigmatize condoms, one advocacy group is encouraging people to make their own art pins using the contraceptive. Executive director of The Condom Project, Franck DeRose, says his group started a program that aims to get people more comfortable with condoms, particularly those who live in countries where the items are taboo. He tells Reuters, "There's a great need to de-stigmatize condoms around the world, especially in Africa. "

The Girl Scouts will go to great lengths to get their cookie money. In Akron, Ohio, The Girl Scouts have filed 12 lawsuits to collect cookie money that buyers have yet to pay.
