Taking the cell phone craze to a whole new level, a woman was accused Friday of robbing four banks in suburbs around the District of Columbia - while talking on her cell phone. Authorities say the woman, casually dressed with dark sunglasses and cellular phone to her ear, walked up to the tell counter at each of the banks, showed the teller a handgun hidden in her purse and demanded money.

Nearly half of Americans questioned in a new opinion poll mistakenly believe they can contract bird flu by eating chicken. Forty-seven percent of respondents including nearly half of college graduates agreed with the false statement that eating an infected chicken can result in bird-flu transmission. The survey sampled 1,007 Americans and was commissioned by the nonprofit Center for Consumer Freedom (CCF) and conducted by Opinion Research Corporation.

These dogs typically suffer from the results of poor health and negligence from their owners, who usually work overtime hours in the office, leaving their pets at home for long periods with no proper care.

A new study shows more than a quarter of British dogs are as stressed as their over-worked owners, and a third are prone to vomiting or diarrhea as a result of neglect. Chris Price, business manager with Direct Line Pet Insurance, says, "Dogs are very sensitive to their owners' moods and pick up on when they are unhappy, unwell or under pressure. "
