Punk Fitness Detroit has gained a loyal following for offering an unconventional way of working out.

It is an alternative exercise class that meets three times a week at Metro Detroit nightclubs and features local alternative bands like The Hentchman and classic punk favorites like The Clash, according to a review from a local paper.

The only thing the owner is strict about is footware and bad music.

In fact, after the 90-minute training session, beer is readily available.

The review says the class, which costs $5 a session, has a loyal following of about 50 and about 200 participants on any given week.
