FBI Arrests Houston Woman On Charges Of Kidnapping 5 Child Victims Of Hurricane Katrina

FBI agents arrested a Houston woman Thursday who refused to return five children victims of Hurricane Katrina to their mother and recovered the kids she allegedly kidnapped. Rhonda Tavey, 44, was at her mother's home in northwest Houston when authorities arrested her, her attorney, Dick DeGuerin, told Chron. com. She is now detained at the Harris County Jail without bail and will appear in court Friday to face charges of kidnapping.

Woman Charged For Setting Off Her Dogs On Saleswoman

A 32-year-old Florida woman has been charged for setting her two dogs on a door-to-door saleswoman, who had to be hospitalized after one of the dogs bit her. Amber Gilbert allegedly ordered her German shepherd and Belgian Malinois to attack Tampa woman Sennie Yeager, who was selling cleaning products door-to-door in Lakeland on Friday.

Teens Offers $17 Bribe In Exchange For Warning Release

A 19-year-old woman was arrested after she tried to bribe an officer in exchange for a warning for underage drinking. According to authorities, Amber Breanne Gordon used someone else's ID during an identification check at the Summit Restaurant and Bar in Iowa City early Monday morning and offered the officer in charge, at the time, $17 for letting her go with a warning. According to Police, when the officer replied "no," Gordon said she was "kind of joking," but could still pay if the officer was "down," according to Press-Citizen. com.

The ambergris, also known as grey amber, is considered by many as floating gold because of its high value. Top perfume makers pay as much as $65 a gram for ambergris - a substance also deemed by Chinese to be an aphrodisiac.
