A 20-year-old hair stylist from Oakland, California will always remember her Texas audition for "American Idol" as she went into labor while waiting for her chance to become the next superstar.
The incident happened on Monday, when nine months' pregnant Antoria Gillon arrived at Texas Stadium along with with 3,500 hopefuls and waited patiently for her turn.
Although she started having contractions, Gillon was determined not to leave without giving her audition. When she finally made it into the audition room, her condition became too serious and an ambulance had to be called but she refused to leave telling the judges she was not done with her singing yet.
Fox News reports that Gillon left for the hospital only after hearing that she was still in the running to be the next "American Idol." The ambitious young mom gave birth to a healthy son, whom she named Jamil Labarron Idol McCowan on early Tuesday morning weighing 6 pounds, 7 ounces.
