A man was arrested for biting off part of a prostitute's ear, after he mistook her of trying to get away without completing her task.
According to police reports, the 54-year old man acquired the services of the 44-year old woman after finding an advertisement on the online classified listing, Craigslist.
After settling on a price, the man invited the woman to his home.
Upon arriving, the woman, already paid, started walking towards the door to find better reception for her cellular phone.
This move led her customer to think she was trying to walk out without giving him what he paid for and attacked her.
"The fight was on," said King County Sheriff spokesman Sgt. John Urquhart.
The scuffle led to the man biting off a quarter-sized part of the woman's ear, Urquhart said.
The woman then fled to the Northwest Hospital, where the local police were called.
Authorities found the severed part of the woman's ear in the man's garbage can, while he was getting arrested.
The doctors at the Harbor Medical Center said that they were unsure of the ear could still be reattached.
