A couple from Merseyside treated their guests to a cold reception after tying the knot in an igloo just at the outskirt of the Arctic Circle.
Braving temperatures of minus 12C, Chris McQuade and Louise O'Mara exchange vows in Rovaniemi, Finland, witnessed by 17 family members as they tied the knot.
"It was pitch black when we came out," said Chris. We rode back to the hotel on a sleigh.
"We spent three days there. We went on snow mobiles, husky rides and had plenty of snowball fights," the 24-year old plumber added.
"Everyone gets married somewhere hot, so we just wanted somewhere different."
Chris and his accountancy practice manager bride Louise, 22, who later celebrated their nuptial with a drink in bar carved out of ice, says they are planning hold their honeymoon in the Maldives.
