Meteorite Stolen From Connecticut Dinosaur Store
A meteorite worth $2,200 was stolen from a Connecticut gift shop at a nature activity center. Workers at The Dinosaur Place noticed the 30-pound hunk of nickel and iron was missing on Monday. It's believed the meteorite was stolen either Friday or Saturday, the Hartford Courant reported.

South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford appeared before reporters on Wednesday afternoon to admit the rumors were true; he ditched his security detail and flew to Argentina to have an extramarital affair with a "dear, dear friend." As a result, Sanford said he let down his family and the people of South Carolina when he secretly escaped after a long legislative session had ended. After days out of contact with family and staff, rumors began to circulate as to the location of South Carolina's executive. Before he left, Sanford told staffers he was going to take a hiking trip to the Appalachian Mountains. But that story quickly unraveled after he was unreachable.
Holocaust-Denying Catholic Bishop Scuffles With Reporter
Richard Williamson, the Holocaust-denying bishop who caused an uproar after Pope Benedict XVI lifted the excommunication against him, was caught scuffling with a reporter on Tuesday. The traditionalist Roman Catholic bishop was flying out of Argentina under a government expulsion order when a local television station caught him raising his fist and shoving television reporter Norberto Dupesso into a pole. Last Thursday, Argentina's government ordered Bishop Williamson to leave the country or face expulsion, citing his failure to declare a job change as required by immigration law as well as his denials of the Holocaust, which it called "an insult" to humanity.
Suicide Of Ex-Argentine Police Chief Shown On TV
Sixty-three year-old Mario Ferreyra, former commander of the Argentina police gave an interview to a television crew, and with the camera still rolling, pulled out a gun from his boot and shot himself. Ferreyra, also known as "El Malevo," was accused of being involved in the kidnapping and torture of dissidents during the 1973-83 dictatorship in Argentina, also known as the "The Dirty War," that has left thousands disappeared.
Dog 'Mothers' Abandoned Baby In Argentina
An eight-year-old dog named La China reportedly saved the life of an abandoned baby girl by 'mothering' her with her puppies. According to the La Nacion newspaper, farmer Fabio Anze discovered the naked girl being nursed by China together with her new puppies in the city of La Plata, 40 miles south of Buenos Aires.
