A 16-year-old Aussie teenager who threw up a wild house party while his parents were out of town, may face a $17,850 bill after police officers tried to disperse revelers by calling in a helicopter Monday.

The teenage boy hosted a party on Saturday night which turned out of control when hundreds of teenagers arrived in to his house in Narre Warren, Melbourne suburb to party.

The dog squad and police helicopter were deployed when about 500 guests began vandalizing streets and throwing beer bottles at police patrols.

Police are now thinking that teenager should shoulder the bill for the 30 involved police officials who were hurt when they tried to control the revelers, Victoria Police chief commissioner Christine Nixon said.

Nixon told reporters, "We're looking at it, we just want to understand exactly what happened, I don't want to act too soon but I'm very unhappy about it, watching police officers treated in that fashion."

"But there may well be very substantial costs involved for the police response to that particular incident."

"To call a helicopter is a 2,000-dollar expense to start with."
