Brothels in Australia are offering customers discounts based on how much they've paid at the pump.
Owners of the prostitution houses say the offer is conducted similarly to supermarkets, which offer shoppers cheaper gas prices based on their grocery bills.
Kerry, manager of The Site, tells Reuters, "If you come in and spend time with one of our lovely ladies, we'll give you a discount of 20 cents a liter."
The brothels have not partnered with gas distributors or supermarkets in the deal.
However, Madame Kerry's and The Site say the system is easy. After clients fill up their cars, they bring the receipts to the brothels and they'll discount the price of a visit.
To fill a 50-liter tank costs about A$63.45 in Australia. The brothels 20c a liter discount saves about A$10. This amount is then deducted from the A$150 cost of a 30-minute visit with one of the "service providers."
The Site has placed ads in newspapers announcing the discount. Kerry tells Reuters, "We're getting more media exposure, if you want to put it that way, than basically bums on beds."
