An Australian woman who had been taunting police had her day in court on Friday, answering 34 counts of fraud.
Jodie Harris, 28, was nicked-named the "Catch Me If You Can Thief," was arrested with over 100 fake identities and wigs after evading police for years.
Magistrate Les Brennan told Sydney's Central Local Court, "We've been waiting for her for some time. I knew she would turn up some day."
Harris was pregnant when police in Sydney caught her. New South Wales (NSW) state police detective Grant Taylor tells reporters, "She has been pursued for a long time. She has come close to being arrested for sometime."
According to a local paper, Harris' charges only relate to offenses allegedly committed in NSW and police in Victoria state say they will seek her extradition after she faces the NSW charges.
