An Australian man is charged with causing bodily harm after putting a 13-month-old baby inside a clothes dryer because she spilt a drink on herself.

According to the BBC, police say 21-year-old Samuel Siddall was left to take care of his girlfriend's baby while she went to the gym.

When she returned, she found the baby had suffered severe burns. Doctors notified police after noticing the suspicious nature of her injuries.

Doctors reportedly expect the baby to make a full recovery and be released from the hospital this week.
