29-year-old Rainer Schoenfelder didn't know he was being photographed as he skied down the Lauberhorn wearing only an orange helmet and yellow boots. The Austrian skier and world-cup racer, who had been experiencing pain since his crash in Turracher Hoehe, Austria, promised his physiotherapist that, if his pains eased up by January 9, 2007, he would ski naked.
They did. So he did.
Though the pictures have been circulated on the Internet, Toni Giger, Austria's head coach, doesn't think that Schoenfelder will be penalized for the act.
