Mechanic Finds Furry Surprise Under The Hood of A Van

A mechanic in Tinley Park, Illinois had a surprise waiting for him when he checked under a customer's hood; a black kitten. Scott Bella, who works at an auto shop, thought he heard a cat's meow when he was driving a customer's van. Upon returning to the auto shop, he raised the hood to find a cat sitting near the car's radiator. Mr. Bella resolved to call the cat "Lucky" after finding she survived the 350 degree heat of the radiator. He told a local newspaper he questioned the customer over the incident but she denied all knowledge.

New York Teen Returns Envelope Filled With Nearly $12,000

A Staten Island teenager received $1200 as a reward for returning an envelope filled with money. Yousry Desooky, found almost $12,000 in cash in the men's room of La Fiesta Restaurant in West New York, New Jersey with a note "For Tahir: $11,875" written on the outside.

Burglar Makes It Easy For Police By Leaving Wallet At Crime Scene

It was an easy job for police to catch a 22-year-old alleged thief suspected of burglarizing several vehicles, when he left his wallet as an evidence at the scene of one of the break-ins. The wallet contained the identification and parole card belonging to Christopher D. Hasty. Police arrested him after apartment complex residents said they saw him flee a car in the parking lot. There are reports that several cars were burglarized in the lot where officers found the wallet.

Pair Dials 911 To Set Up A Drug Deal, Gets Caught

In an attempt to set up a drug deal, two suspected thieves mistakenly telephoned police at 3 a. m. on Tuesday, thus ending up in jail. The dopes, Paul White, 38, and Ryan Ogle, 25 were arrested after they dialed the emergency number 911 instead of their drug dealer's. Pomona police immediately traced the call and asked a patrol officer to check on them. The men were found standing beside a car which had been reported as stolen.

Frustrated By Her Bicycle, Woman Steals A Running Car

Not sure of what to do after the bicycle she was riding started having problems, a Palm Beach, FL, woman stole a running car. Kathleen Mary Pedemonti now faces a grand theft auto charge, Florida Today reported Tuesday. When her bicycle failed her on March 26, the 50-year-old woman jumped into a 2006 Chevy Monte Carlo that was left running in front of a Malabar Road Subway and simply drove away.
