Booker Boyd, 49, decided to disguise himself in drag to rob a bank Wednesday afternoon. His mistake was forgetting to change before driving off in a stolen Ford Expedition. When police saw the culprit in a black dress with red flowers, red straw hat, and little black moustache, they knew they had their man. . . so to speak.

A bank robber's escape is thwarted after a courier stops him with a broomstick. The man had just finished robbing 2,000 pounds from a Bank of Cyprus branch and was running out when he was spotted by the 19-year-old.

Almost as a punchline in a joke, a man walks into a bank Saturday morning and leaves the teller a note stating he planned to return with a weapon and kill everyone inside if he did not receive $1,000. At the bottom of the note, he signed his name: Thomas Mason.

British daily The Guardian has reported the end of the longest speech in British legal history ended Wednesday. Nicholas Stadlen, a top British lawyer for the Bank of England, finally sat down after making the final statements of his 119 day long opening argument in a London courtroom.
