Canadian Province Sets Minimum Prices For Alcohol, Limits Happy Hours

A new regulation limiting alcohol orders and drinking in bars in the province took effect Friday. The new rules of the Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission set the minimum prices per ounce of spirits and liqueurs and per can of beer at $2. 75. The price of an ounce of wine will be at least 35 cents and an ounce of draft beer at least 16 cents.

A British woman is facing a possible six years in prison after being arrested for having sex on a public beach. The Sun reported that Michelle Palmer, 30, and a man only known as Vince, were caught on the beach by a police officer having sex after the pair had spent most of the day drinking at an all-you-can eat and drink brunch that are popular amongst the British in Dubai.

The New York Transit, through spokesman Charles Seaton, defended the new policy implemented the past few weeks, as its way of making the riding public more comfortable by setting exclusive window hours for its maintenance staff to clean the toilets.

Diet Coach Polices LA Cops' Eating Habits

In an attempt to help overweight officers get back in shape, the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) has hired a full-time diet coach to chalk out special diet plans for them. Rana Parker, who joined the force in July, was working as a diet coach at Head Start, the federal aid program for children. Now she will target recruits and help instill in them good eating habits and finding time for balanced meals.

French Foreign Minister's Speechwriter Writes Oglers' Guide To Women In Paris

Pierre-Louis Colin, a speechwriter for the French foreign minister has written a new tourist guide on where best to ogle 'les parisiennes' or Frenchwomen. The 190-page book Guide des jolies femmes de Paris, which was released last month, lists the best places to ogle gorgeous women in the city. Colin has singled out bars, parks, metro trains and times of day to observe women in Paris.
