The "Polar Bear Jail" in the Canadian town of Churchill will be expanding to house more wayward carnivores. According to press reports, the facility was built in 1980 in the polar bear capital of the world.

Spectators watched as a bear cub snacked on barbecue-chicken and jalapeno pizza in a parking lot on Sunday. According to press reports, the vehicle's owner stated that the cub also had a Jack Daniel's mixer, a beer and an Absolut vodka and tonic.

A bear cub wandering a Lake Tahoe neighborhood drew a crowd as it snacked on pizza, before washing it down with some alcohol while sitting at the back seat of a red Buick convertible. The bruin was unfazed by the car's horn that blew nonstop as the cub pressed the seat into the steering wheel, the AP reported.

On Monday, a lawyer stated that his client escaped from house arrest because he could not bear living with his grandfather. According to press reports, the 30 year old Italian man, who has only been identified by his initials, A. M. , had been placed under house arrest for six months in the Sardinian town of Sassari after getting into a scuffle with a police officer.
