A 12-year-old girl was stung by a scorpion at a Wal-Mart store on Sunday while trying to pick out a watermelon from a bin. The scorpion was around an inch long and must have got caught in the shipment from Mexico. The girl, Megan Templeton, was taken to the hospital immediately and made a full recovery.

At least 30 people out of the 3,200 marathon runners, were rushed to the hospital in southwestern Japan after a swarm of bee attacked the participants on Sunday, rescue workers said. According to local officials, they dispatched five ambulances during the race because of the incident.

Louise O'Donnel, a nursery nurse at Busy Bee Center, shocked parents of her ward after offering them sex toys and bondage gear via e-mail. The nurse, who works for the nursery in Strathave, Lanakshire, e-mailed the parents an "Easter Special" of Ann Summers products which include lubricants, vibrators and other sex aids.

A two-headed calf born at a California farm was euthanized Wednesday after one its lungs collapsed. The animal, named Blinky, was born at Tulare's Hamstra Dairy on Tuesday morning with two heads, four eyes, two noses and two mouths.

A 48-year-old man was arrested Monday morning after he repeatedly rammed his pickup truck into his estranged wife's home, causing serious damages to another parked vehicle and the house itself. Eric D. Marienau was arrested without incident and was charged with aggravated assault, drunken driving, and other felony charges. According to police, Marienau parked his full-size Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck next to his wife's house, went over to the fence and began shouting for her to bring him a cigarette.
