Australian's may be practically naked during summer but that doesn't mean the countryman's sex lives are hot, hot, hot.
According to a worldwide survey conducted by condom makers Durex, Australian's aren't having as much sex as their neighbors and rivals New Zealand, but are having more bedtime lovin' than the Japanese.
According to the survey, Aussies have sex on average 106 times a year, almost 60 times less than the Greeks and Brazilians.
Despite the tanned bodies, hot sun and refreshing surf to get people looking good and in the mood, only 42 per cent are fully satisfied with their sex lives. Even people in India, where public displays of affection and sexual content in the media are taboo - are happier at 60 per cent.
Brisbane based sexologist, Gabrielle Morrissey, told AAP, "In the teacher's model we'd probably get a B-plus. We're above average, doing OK, but there's serious room for improvement."
Maybe the dissatisfaction comes from the reported 17 minutes a day Australian's spare for the act of lovemaking. In a world scale, the people from Down Under come in at 17th place - meaning there is plenty more time to devote to gettin' busy.
Ms Morrissey continues, "That's a very short period compared to the time we're prepared to devote to other activities like surfing the net or watching TV, and that's a worry."
Even one in ten Aussies saying they would like more fun between the sheets doesn't solve the issues, Ms Morrissey believes.
She concluded, "That's all very well but there seems to be a real disconnect between what we want and what we're willing to shift around in our lives to get it."
