A woman is shocked to see the man who robbed her back in Germany waiting to get on her flight in Turkey. The 37-year-old woman was held up and robbed in her Berlin apartment earlier this month. She saw the 25-year-old robber at an airport in Antalya, and called her husband.

A Christian family living in an east Berlin apartment tower may be evicted after others living in the tower complained of their noisy prayer sessions, a German newspaper said Thursday. Neighbors told Bild newspaper that the 7-member family's prayers sometimes begin as late as 2 a. m. and include loud screams and singing. The 42-year-old father of the family, Pierre D. , is fighting an eviction order in court. He told Bild, "I really don't want to disturb the neighbors but the high volume is needed in the battle against the devil. "

A German scientist is working on an "anti-stupidity pill. " So far, the pill has only been tested on mice and fruitflies, but the results were encouraging, Germany's Bild newspaper reported Saturday. The paper said Hans-Hilger Ropers, director at Max-Planck-Institute for Molecular Genetics in Berlin, is testing a pill aimed at improving short-term memory and attentiveness by preventing hyperactivity in certain brain cells.

Local officials in Hitler's hometown of Braunau, in western Austria will name a park after a man executed by the Nazis during World War II for refusing to serve in the German Wehrmacht. The Austrian Press Agency said Franz Jaegerstaetter, a profoundly devout farmer from St. Radegund, near Braunau, was shot to death on the outskirts of Berlin in August 9, 1943 for his staunch refusal to collaborate with the Nazi regime.
