A bet by a German man has led him to water-ski behind a German cruise liner, after having argued that it would be theoretically possible to do so. With the stunt being recorded by a German television crew, reporter Dirk Gion, 40, took up the challenge "to prove it could be done", according to Ananova. com.

A man who cut off his hair after losing a bet, now lost his job too. Jason Brooks, who hails from Wales, shaved his locks into a Mohawk as penalty for losing a bet with a friend. However the new 'do didn't sit well with his boss. Brooks says, "The deal was if I lost I would shave the hair on my head into a mohican style and have a waxing. I lost. And as a man of my word I went through with it. I just can't believe I have had the sack. "

Robert Varkonyi, the 2002 World Series of Poker Champion, has more bragging rights today. Over the weekend the Champion Extreme Poker player took home the title of Champion while bluffing in frigid temperatures in the arctic. Varkonyi's win comes just months after Juha Helppi won the first ever Extreme Poker event held 30 feet underwater in the Caribbean Sea.
