Not sure of what to do after the bicycle she was riding started having problems, a Palm Beach, FL, woman stole a running car. Kathleen Mary Pedemonti now faces a grand theft auto charge, Florida Today reported Tuesday. When her bicycle failed her on March 26, the 50-year-old woman jumped into a 2006 Chevy Monte Carlo that was left running in front of a Malabar Road Subway and simply drove away.

A 48-year-old man from San Diego, California broke the previous world record for stationary cycling by more than 11 hours Sunday, completing a session that lasted 96 hours, 4 minutes and 8 seconds. Pete Maisel spent his 48th birthday with his his girlfriend, Wendy Gardiner but in a different way than previous years. His goal for the non stop peddling was to raise money for a couple charitable causes and an upcoming bike trek.

A man and a woman imprisoned in an Ivory Coast jail dated and fell in love through a peephole in an iron door. According to one of their jailers they decided to get married and were released for a few hours for a wedding. Daloa prison guard Norbert Bah tells Reuters, "You can fall in love in all kinds of places - even prison. "

An opera singer riding his bike to a rehearsal of a new opera last month ended up in a hospital instead of the Helsinki Opera House after a squirrel jumped into his bicycle spokes. Esa Ruuttunen suffered a concussion and a broken nose from the accident. The squirrel did not survive.

A Finnish opera singer misses rehearsal after a squirrel runs into his bicycle wheel, causing him to fall and break his nose. Esa Ruuttunen was on his way to the Helsinki Opera House when the squirrel ran into his spokes. He was knocked out and ended up with a concussion.
