A farmer in a Colombian village was startled to discover an odd looking hen in his farm that was born with the webbed feet of duck. Villagers are flocking to see this strange animal hybrid with a hen's body and duck's feet. According to veterinary experts, the strange looking species could be the result of a genetic mishap. However, there are no chances that animal is the offspring of a duck and a hen mating.

Freedom is the most precious thing to every living being, be it humans or birds. A female vulture from a Dallas Zoo found her long awaited freedom last weekend by escaping from the zoo. The Dallas Morning News reported that zoo officials are currently searching for the bird in the Dallas region. However, officials have assured the public that the vulture is of no threat to children, people or pets.

A 16-year-old Indian ring neck parakeet A. J. has become an Internet video star after his video appeared on YouTube and other internet sites. His proud trainer, David Cota says A. J. can easily plunge a tiny basketball on a tiny court, roll over, shake his leg and use a tiny putter to sink putts on a miniature golf course. A. J. 's popularity has helped him reach the "Tonight" show and win an "outrageous bird" viral video contest sponsored by MagRack, an on-demand television network.

Officers investigating the cause of a Jan. 10 fire at an office building in West Virginia have revealed the possible culprits of the blaze - birds. According to authorities the reason to single out the unusual suspects stems from a huge nest, littered with dozens of cigarette butts, that was found in the attic of the building. Fire Marshals believe that a pigeon or another kind of bird may have carried a burning cigarette butt into the attic of the Ratcliff Place that eventually led to fire.
