A 70-year-old German shoplifter tried to break free from the police by biting them to no avail. His main problem in the escape attempt was he had forgotten to put his teeth on. Police tried arresting him when he failed to pay fine for shoplifting.

The worst thing to do after biting a police officer in order to avoid arrest is having to realize that you left your dentures at home. Gustav Ernegger, 70, did just that. The retired German man tried to get away from police after having stolen a t-shirt in a clothing shop by giving an officer a bite on the arm but only left a wet mark from his gums instead.

An Australian climber left for dead spent a night on Mt. Everest and lived to tell about it. Lincoln Hall, 50 was left by an expedition team after he was reported dead from head trauma, according to reports. But another team found him the next day near the peak with frost bite and altitude sickness.

A doctor with numerous fishing accolades added another record to his collection when he caught a 385-pound lemon shark on fly tackle. According to the International Game Fish Association (IGFA), Dr. Martin Arostegui caught the heaviest fish ever documented on fly tackle, beating out a nearly 40-year-old record.
