A 17-page obituary of Apple CEO Steve Jobs was accidentally published Wednesday by the Bloomberg financial news service. Although quickly retracted, the death notice provided insight into Jobs' life and friends.
As the case with many landmark figures, the obituary had been prepared in advance, excluding the date and cause of death.
However, in instructions to reporters, a number of Jobs' acquitances were included for possible comments, including Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates, ex-girlfriend Heidi Roizen and Calif. Attorney General Jerry Brown.
Talk on Wall Street of whether Jobs health is suffering reached the point earlier this year that the usually-circumspect Apple was forced to deny the rumor.
